1. Congratulations to the Huron cheerleaders competition team of
Kaitlyn Krueger, Hannah Hastings, Allison Gorby, Emily Lance, Claire
Balde, Lexi Hartung, Jaylee Jordan, Reilly Wysocki, Rachel Doto and
Lydia Mischler for taking first place in the First ever SBC cheer
competition held yesterday at Vermilion high school.
Huron
also took 1st and 3rd place in the trio competition. First place
winners were Hannah Hastings, Jaylee Jordan and Lexi Hartung. Taking
3rd Kaitlyn Pickett, Caitlyn Ryan and Jillian Selvey.
In the jump competition, Hannah Hastings took a 1st and 3rd place finish. While Lexi Hartung and Kaitlyn Pickett placed 2nd.
Lastly congratulations to Hannah Hastings and Allison Gorby for taking honors as top performers.
2. Congratulations to the following students who were named Student of the Month:
Freshman - Stephen Demos, Sophomore - Sarah Blevins, Junior - Will Wiseman, Senior - Tyler Sasala.
3. Reminder to all Juniors: 2nd payment for the Junior Class Trip is due Tuesday, December 15.
4. The
6th period Spanish class is doing a donation for the Erie County Humane
Society, a charity which is often overlooked. One of the things needed
is newspapers. There is a box in Mrs. Arambula's room labeled for the
Humane Society if you could please remember to drop your leftover papers
in there at the end of the day.

TLC will be hosting "Operation Troops" all of this week. The goal is to bring in basic
necessities and snacks such as hard candy, gum, crackers, granola bars,
beef jerky, cards/card games/ journals, pens, toiletries, pocket
kleenex, chapstick and hand warmers. Bring items to your first period class. The first period with the most
items will win fresh baked cookies and hot cocoa. All proceeds go to
help the troops. All donations would be appreciated!

THE GREAT WOLF LODGE in Sandusky will be holding an OPEN HOUSE FOR JOB SEEKERS on TUESDAY, DECEMBER 8, FROM 3:00PM – 6:00PM in
the MAIN LOBBY OF THE LODGE. Come get information on a variety of
jobs, such as Food Service; Lifeguards; Retail and Arcade Staff; Guest
Services; Housekeeping; Kid’s Experience and Costume Characters; and
Maintenance and Security Staff. We are looking for individuals, age 16
and over, who either want to work part-time or full-time in a FUN
environment. Students are encouraged to bring their parent’s to this
event. We’ll have a special information table, just for them to answer
their questions. We have positions for all ages. Attendees will be
able to get job information, fill out applications, set up interviews
and also checkout our SNOWLAND themed lobby, complete with a
life-size Gingerbread House. We’ll even have refreshments. For

Attention all sophomores or juniors interested in attending EHOVE next
year. The application period is going on now! If you are considering,
please go to www.EHOVE.net and click on "now it is time to apply"
and fill out the quick application. Mrs. Fahr will send over your
transcript at the end of the semester to complete your file. If you
have any questions, please see Mrs. Fahr in the Guidance office.
8. The Huron ski club will have a meeting on Friday, December 11,
in the high school cafeteria immediately after school. Information
packets are in the office. Please bring parent/guardian form to the
meeting. Parents are welcome to attend. Contact Julie Parell with any
questions.

Seniors, Jostens will be back for one final time to take orders for
graduation supplies (caps & gowns, announcements, etc) on Thursday, December 10, during lunches. You should be receiving a post card in the mail from Jostens if you have not yet placed an order.

Huron Rotary would like to meet our Seniors at their luncheons on
Tuesdays. If you would like to attend, please pick up a form in the
high school office. Once the form is completed and turned back into the
office we will schedule a time for you to go. Please ask a friend to
partner up with you as we like to send a couple at a time.
11. Lunch today is a chicken patty sandwich or a toasted pizza sub.
