HURON HIGH SCHOOL
1. Attention all students who are planning on going to EHOVE next year: If
you missed your EHOVE field trip, have additional questions, or would
like to participate in the Shadow Day, please see Mrs. Fahr in the
Guidance Office. EHOVE Shadow Day is Jan. 26th.
2. Attention all SENIORS who are working towards the Diploma of
Distinction: You must have 50 hours of documented and approved community
service turned in to Mr. Munafo NO LATER THAN THE LAST DAY OF 1st
SEMESTER (JAN.15th). For Seniors, no community service hours will be accepted after this deadline.
3. Attention all SENIORS attending college next year - There will be a Financial Aid Evening this Thursday at 6pm
in the HHS Library. If you have questions about the FASFA,
scholarships, loans, grants etc, this information meeting will be
extremely helpful for you and your parents! Be sure to attend. 4. New scholarship opportunity: ERIE COUNTY FARM BUREAU SCHOLARSHIP – Award of $750 available to high school seniors residing
in Erie County and enrolled as a full-time student in an Agricultural related
field. Parents or student must be
a member of the Erie County Farm Bureau.

TO APPLY IS MARCH 15, 2016.
AAA SCHOOL SAFETY PATROL SCHOLARSHIP – Several $1,000 grants available to high school
seniors who once served as a member of the AAA School Safety Patrol. Stop into the Guidance office for application
and other entry requirements. DEADLINE MARCH 29, 2016.
5. The Ohio Army National Guard will be visiting Wed. Jan. 6th during lunch.
6. Huron Public Library Events this week:
Game Nights are every Tuesday at 6 pm. Check the Library's website for this week's game. Registration required.
Open Chess, Thursday, January 7 at 5:30 pm. No registration necessary.
The Teen Library Council meets this Friday, January 8 at 2:45 pm.
7. Attention all students who took the PSAT: Scores will be accessible beginning January 7th at www.studentscores.collegeboard.org. Mrs. Fahr will receive your paper scores in late January. She will be meeting with you in February to go over scores.
8. Lunch today is a bacon cheeseburger or a cold cut sub.
