1. Today is the final day to submit your name to be an officer in the National Junior Honor Society. Please send Mrs. Aber an email or take a piece of paper to
Mrs. Aber with your name and the office you want to run for.
Junior Honor Society members will meet next Tuesday during Study Hall to vote and to be sure we are ready for the dance on Friday.
2. Visitors from the Weather Channel are visiting Huron today. They will be interviewing Coach Legando and shooting pictures of the football team and other interesting sites around Huron. They will be at this evening’s game. Show your team spirit for our Huron Tigers and have a great time at the game!
3. Both the seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams defeated Perkins in two games last night! Great job girls!
4. Start the Year Jammin'! The first dance of the year will be next Friday, September 5th, right after school until 4:30p.m. We'll have our awesome DJ bringing us the music we love, lots of cookies and punch, and all your classmates having a blast together. Tickets will be sold for $5 beginning Tuesday during 8th grade lunch, and during 7th grade study hall at the end of the day. The National Junior Honor Society will be hosting, and every one of them will be dancing!
