Welcome New Staff
Huron Schools is proud to welcome 11 new members to our team for the 2018-19 school year.
Dennis Antonelli – Assistant Principal and Secondary Academic Coordinator, Huron High School. Dennis, a 1997 Huron High alum, spent the past four years as K-12 principal for SMCC schools.
Brittany Bennett – Licensed Social Worker, serving district wide. Brittany is employed through Firelands Regional Medical Center and contracted to work in Huron City Schools four days a week.
Josh Cebull – Band and choir grades 5-12. Josh completed his student teaching in Huron and has served as a substitute teacher, and assistant for the Huron marching band.
Samantha Hanson – Gifted Instructional Specialist, Woodlands Intermediate School. Samantha most recently served as a teacher in the Port Clinton City School district.
Nadine Keesy - RTI Tier III Specialist, Shawnee Elementary and Intervention Specialist, Woodlands Intermediate. Nadine is a spring graduate of Capital University and completed her student teaching in South-Western Local Schools.
Dr. Barbra Straka-Kenning – School Counselor, Huron High School. Barbara recently retired from Sandusky City Schools after serving a number of years as the Director of School Counseling for Sandusky High School.
Justin King – Mathematics, Huron High School. Justin served the past 12 years as a math teacher at Sandusky High School.
Dr. Julie McDonald – Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Julie spent the past several years as the Chief Academic Officer for Sandusky City Schools.
Trisha Rosekelly – School Counselor, Huron High School. Trisha recently retired from EHOVE Career Center after serving as a high school counselor.
Amy Shafer – Administrative Assistant, Special Education Department, and Centralized Student Registrar. Amy spent the past several years serving as an administrative assistant in the business and special education departments for Berlin Milan Local Schools.
Marcia Sheehan – Cashier, Huron High School Cafeteria.
