Blizzard Bag Information.
Dear Huron Tiger Families and Community Members,
In alignment with our district’s Vision, Mission and Core Values, and Mother Nature’s temperament, we are enacting our first Blizzard Bag of 2019. On February 12th, Huron City Schools closed due to weather conditions. This closure marked our sixth of the school year. Students will have two (2) weeks to submit their Blizzard Bag assignments for this day. On March 5th, all work needs to be handed in. Students are welcome to turn in any assignments early. Should we experience another closure, students will have two weeks from that date of closure to turn in their Day 2 Blizzard Bag. If we close again, we will use the Day 3 Blizzard Bag with assignments due two weeks from that date. If your child needs paper copies of any assignment, please communicate these needs to your child’s teacher.
We recognize there is no substitute for our highly qualified teachers and staff working daily with our students. We also recognize that safety comes first. The Blizzard Bags assist our students, teachers, and staff in keeping the learning process going when weather is less than favorable.
